    • Bow before entering the mat.

    • If you are late for class, please don’t step on the mats until invited by your professor.

    • Please ask your professor if you need to get a drink of water or go to the bathroom before stepping off the mats.

    • Be considerate of space when the mats are busy. Higher belts have right of way.

    • Allow your partner time to tap. If your partner taps physically or verbally, release the submission immediately.

    • Ensure a high level of personal hygiene is maintained. This includes wearing a clean gi, keeping nails short and hair up if necessary.
